Who we are
RxLaunchPad is a revision app for trainee and newly qualified pharmacists. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean RxLaunchPad, the controller of your personal data under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Questions or requests: email [email protected].
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password. Your password is stored securely by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.
- Profile details: your name, experience level and, if you add one, a profile photo.
- Study activity: reading progress, quiz answers and scores, flashcard reviews, study time, streaks and badges.
- Free and Premium access: which free items you have used, and your subscription status (for example Premium, its expiry date and whether it came from the App Store, Google Play or our website).
- Support messages: anything you send us through "Report an issue", together with your email address so we can reply.
- Technical data: basic logs such as error reports and the time of requests, used to keep the service running.
We do not collect or store payment card details. Purchases in the iOS and Android apps are handled by Apple or Google, and purchases on our website are handled by Stripe. They tell us only whether your subscription is active.
How we use it
- To create and run your account, confirm your email address and keep you signed in (contract).
- To save your progress and show your stats, streaks and knowledge retention (contract).
- To give you free and Premium access correctly (contract).
- To answer support requests and fix problems (legitimate interests).
- To keep the app secure and prevent misuse, such as blocking disposable email addresses and duplicate accounts (legitimate interests).
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping purchase records (legal obligation).
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who process data for us under contract:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
- FlutterFlow and Google Cloud: hosting of the web version of the app.
- Cloudflare: hosting of this website.
- Resend: sending emails such as account confirmation, password resets and support replies.
- Apple and Google: app distribution and in-app subscription payments.
- Stripe: secure payments for subscriptions bought on our website. Stripe acts as the seller of record for these purchases and handles sales tax and VAT.
- RevenueCat: keeping your subscription status in sync across the App Store, Google Play and the web.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, progress, photo and usage records straight away. Backups that contain your data are overwritten within our providers' normal backup cycle. We may keep limited records where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and you can object to or ask us to restrict some uses. You can change your name, photo and experience level in the app, and delete your account from Profile > Delete account, or by following the steps on our delete account page.
To use any other right, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
RxLaunchPad is designed for pharmacy students and professionals and is only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account, and if we learn that a user is under 18 we will close the account and delete their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
